
IPTIF is a Section 8 company of IIT Palakkad established in 2020 with support from National Mission on Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
Under the NM-ICPS, IPTIF focuses on the domain of Intelligent Collaborative Systems (ICS) with a special emphasis on driving automation in the Energy, and Safety sectors. IPTIF activities are focused mainly around the verticals of Technology Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Human Resource Development and Skill Development.

SDGs We Address








Proposal
IPTIF has established a good eco-system for technology development, skill development and entrepreneurship development to achieve India’s growth aiming for a GDP of $ 30 trillion by 2030. We seek CSR funding in order to strengthen and continue the activities which can foster in maintaining an eco-system for innovations and technology development.
The major challenge we face today is lack of employability and not unemployment. We would like to make a reality of skilled India by extending our skill development program into rural areas, tier 2 and tier 3 cities. For this purpose, we request you to utilize our facility and join hands with us for spending the CSR funds in an appropriate, useful manner for creating value to the society.
This will enable collaboration in interdisciplinary research, exploratory research, focused research, and innovation. In essence, we seek cooperation at various levels to jointly contribute to India's growth story.
Proposed CSR activity portfolio




Idea Spark
We propose to conduct Ideathons, Hackathons, Social challenges and rural development programs addressing key problems and encourage Grassroot Innovators. Initiates a platform for sensitizing, mentoring and creating innovative ideas to solve realistic social problems in the field of automotive, energy, safety and ICS. We encourage youngsters who would like to explore new innovative technologies by nurturing their ideas. We invite students and young professionals to come up with their ideas for which we create a platform to discuss and mould their ideas which can be converted into a reality in the near future. The selected ideas can be provided with grants to make it a reality
IPTIF conducted Design Impact Movement, a social initiative of Titan to encourage young people to use design for a positive social effect. This program is designed for college students and young professionals. IPTIF joined hands with IKP EDEN to provide sensitization, mentorship, an online registration platforms. IPTIF also conducted a Grand Pitch event under this program and created a full proof process to conduct such events in the future We could generate good ideas through the event in which few top ideas are considered for future funding opportunities




Skill Development
The country faces the major challenge in the form of unemployability rather than unemployment. There are a good number of job vacancies unfilled due to unavailability of the right human resource. Hence to equip the targeted audience with the relevant skills, upskilling in the various fields and nurture the talent for creativity and innovation we propose to skill development programs and make India a skilled nation. We have conducted skill development programs in the areas of IOT, AI/ML, Robotics, 3D Printing, PCB designing, Cyber Securities, renewable energy technologies, technical upskilling for women, Design for manufacturing etc. we aim for job creations by improving the skill sets of people across the country.
IPTIF is planning to launch UYARE (Unified Youth Advancement For Research and Entrepreneurship), a certified residential training program at IIT Palakkad focused on upskilling and training young students in the area of Product Development and Entrepreneurship. The program is designed as a residential training program for a period of 6-months with a focus on participation from the deprived section of the society viz. students from Scheduled Tribe (ST) who have completed +2 in Science or Diploma in any technical stream.
We have 20 seater skill development center at IPTIF and can also utilise IIT Palakkad facilities for more skill development programs based on requirements.


UG/PG/Research Fellowships
IPTIF encourages students pursuing graduation, post-graduation and PhD by providing fellowships to engage students in research and technology development projects. We have onboarded 21 Doctoral Projects, 60 + UG/PG fellows which contributed valuable innovative solutions for social challenges. Through CSR funds we can focus more on specific areas by providing fellowships.






Indigenous Technology Development
We have collaborated with multiple innovative indigenous technology development projects in the focus areas viz., Energy, environment, health, agriculture and sustainability. State of the art laboratory facility, simulations, fabrication and prototyping lab, electrical lab, robotics testing facility access to IIT Palakkad central instrumentation facility, Motion capture lab, etc. are the set facilities funded by NM_ICPS. Through CSR funding we can attract more technology development projects and shall increase the innovation and problem-solving eco-system. The success story lies with 38 Technology Projects, 20+ Matured Prototypes, 7+ IP filed 40+ Publications, 60+ Trained Engineers.


CSR for Startups
Technology development, product development and job creation mainly triggered by supporting and encouraging startups. Though we are not an incubation center, we aid startups with funding for indigenous technology development and implementation with environmental and social impact. We provide funds to startups for job creations. So far we have onboarded 26 startups in domains like renewable energy, healthcare, agriculture, sanitation, defense and waste management. Through this we support vocal for local, Atma Nirbhar, make in India, Design and Manufacture in India slogans.






Entrepreneurship
We conduct entrepreneurship development programs by giving training programs to women and entrepreneurs in the rural areas. We have initiated 100+ I Trend centers to encourage young entrepreneurs in higher education institutions. Through the flagship program of Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) program we have onboarded 20+ entrepreneurs by supporting monthly remuneration of INR 30,000 for a year. We provide six months entrepreneurship development programs for IMPACT startups and EIRs in order to equip them with entrepreneurial skills to become successful. IPTIF can run a special cohort of EIR in collaboration with the CRS funding organization.

IPTIF is a technology innovation hub mandate of creating a larger societal impact through innovative technology solution providers. We operate in a region with economically and socially backward population and agrarian communities requiring technology interventions. During the past few years, we have designed quality programs under each vertical with tested processes. We have network collaborations with academic and industry experts for advanced skilling. The parent institution IIT Palakkad and its facilities are approachable for executing the CSR projects. Our experienced management and technical teams will ensure efficient, ethical utilization of CSR funds. We are committed to submit the fund utilization reports and activity reports periodically by conducting the same in a fruitful manner.

A detailed budget and financials can be prepared based on the fund availability and selection of CSR portfolio by the company based on the length and breadth of the execution of the project.
